Fabric for Chasubles

by Karen
(Sun City, AZ )

Help! I can sew but I've never made a chasuble... Can you tell me what the best materials would be to create one? I'd like a rose color for Gaudete Sunday during Advent... I'm thinking something like a polyester/wool blend... I don't want it to be too hot; however, as we live in Phoenix.

What would you suggest?
Thank you!

Fabric for Chasuble
by: Lynne and Sue

Hi Karen!

The only rose fabric we have found we are offering on this page. It is very difficult to find rose colored vestment fabric.

It is a linen blend, so if you want to keep it cool, you will have to make it without lining, (which makes it a lot easier to make, by the way).

Hope this helps, and may God bless you in your sewing efforts!
